What to watch for on SYTYCD Season 10 in Vegas

We have a few guest judges for Vegas revealed by numerous Instagram posts... Adam really seems to like Instagram.
Adam, tWitch, NappyTabs, Jason Derülo, Mary, Nigel

tWitch, Hannah Simone, Mary, Nigel, Stacey Tookey, Adam

Sonya Tayeh, Hannah Simone (New Girl), Eliana Girard, Kathryn McCormick

So, so far we have Hannah Simone (CeCe from New Girl), Jason Derülo and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (not pictured) (Mitchell from Modern Family) as "guests," as well as Stacey Tookey, NappyTabs, Sonya Tayeh, Eliana Girard, Kathryn McCormick, tWitch and Melanie Moore (not pictured). Not sure if any of the alumni will be choreographing anything or will just be there as judges or exemplars or what have you, but I think it's pretty safe to say that Stacey will choreograph the Contemporary round (ARGH I LOVE STACEY TOOKEY), NappyTabs will take the Hip Hop round, Dmitri (also not pictured but in one of Adam's many Instagram pictures if you want to take a look) will take the ballroom round, and Sonya will choreograph the jazz round.

Not sure about Hannah and Jason judging in Vegas or wherever they're judging, but apparently Jason has some sort of dance background (he's cited as a dancer on his Wikipedia page). Obviously, we've seen Jesse judge and he's wonderful, so no worries there :) SO GLAD Adam is back in the picture too, hopefully he'll stay on as a permanent judge for the rest of the season- will update as soon as I know.

Season 10 Format Updates

Welcome to SYTYCD Fans! I'll blog and update about the upcoming Season 10 as often as possible... And of course will continue to do so as the season starts ;)

All right, so the format of the upcoming season is always a bit of a toss-up (Season 7 had a Top 11, and just recently Season 9 had just one slot a week, so no elimination show) and it still seems up in the air at this point. Nigel recently tweeted this, which seems to confirm this;

So... Yeah. If he's tweeting so liberally about it, here's to hoping there'll be a results show this season? Last season formatting seemed like a big of a gong show, to be honest, and it just seemed completely overwhelming for both the producers and the dancers to have all the performances and the eliminations in one night. So... let's hope he gets his way. I'll be the first to admit I'm not Nigel's biggest fan, but definitely rooting for him now, haha :)
